DSSA athlete Courtney has had a law named after her!

DSSA athlete Courtney has had a law named after her. Courtney's Law is Oklahoma legislation that will require health care practitioners to provide accurate, up-to-date information about Down syndrome at the time of diagnosis. On Tuesday, August 9th, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt held a ceremonial bill signing with Courtney present in her crown and sash!  This is not Courtney’s first spell in the limelight as she is currently the reigning Oklahoma Miss Amazing Jr/Miss 2022 on a platform of health and wellness for African Americans with Down syndrome and other disabilities. Congratulations to Courtney and mum DeAnna for their efforts in getting this bill passed!
